Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Sevilla 0
Albion beat current Europa League champions Sevilla in front of just over 10,500 fans at the Amex this afternoon (Sunday 2 August) with a penalty from new signing Tomer Hemed.
Both teams used a majority of their fit first team squad players in a fairly competitive match.
The Seagulls also beat Chelsea when the Blues were European champions in August 2012.
Ex-Albion boss Oscar Garcia was present at today’s match.
The Seagulls take on Nottingham Forest at the Amex this coming Friday (7 August) in the first Football League match of the new season. The match is also live on Sky Sports.
