Roedean firefighters held their annual open day at Brighton Marina and left with almost £500 in donations for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The event was held on Saturday (27 June).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Roedean firefighters teamed up with Asda to hold their annual open day at the Brighton Marina store to educate shoppers on safety.
“Members of the public donated generously, raising an outstanding £480.05 for the Fire Fighters Charity, as well as crews setting up home safety visits.
“Asda kindly allowed East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to use their car park and entrance lobby.
“It is hoped that a second event may be held at the store in December as it proved to be a successful with the community.”
