Portslade sixth form students host Hove Business Awards

PACA sixth formers and some of those who helped them organise the Hove Business Awards 2015

Sixth form students from Portslade organised and hosted the Hove Business Awards last night (Thursday 25 June).

The team of ten from the Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) arranged the event as part of their business studies course.

They worked with the Hove Business Partnership to promote the At Your Service Awards with the winners chosen by public vote.

The awards were also supported by the Brighton and Hove Independent, the free weekly newspaper and presented by Talia French from Juice 107.5FM.

PACA said before last night’s awards evening: “The event has been incorporated into the syllabus and with the help of the Hove Business Association the students will manage the project from inception through to final staging of the awards ceremony.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the pupils of PACA to show off their skills and gain valuable experience while celebrating the achievements of the local business world.”

  • Best Place to Eat in Hove and Portslade Café Quench

  • Best Shop in Hove City Books
  • Best Shop in Portslade Mulberry
  • Best Specialty Business Studio 57 Clinic
  • Business Personality of the Year Elle Phillips
