A cyclist was injured after crashing with a car during the rush hour in Brighton this morning.
The man, in his thirties, collided with the car at about 7.40am this morning at the junction of Elm Grove and Hampden Road.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with injuries to his shoulder and side.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We were called at approximately 7.40am this morning to the junction of Elm Grove and Hampden Road to reports of a collision between a car and a bicycle.
“Ambulance crews in an ambulance and a car attended the scene. A man aged in his thirties was assessed and treated at the scene for injuries including injuries to his shoulder and side. He was then taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for further treatment.”
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We got the call at 7.41am. It was a car v a pushbike at the junction of Elm Grove and Hampden Road in Brighton.
“The cyclist, a man, was taken to hospital and there was a suspicion he had broken his collarbone.”
