A Portslade man is among the latest to be charged with drink driving during the Sussex Police annual summer crackdown.
Joseph Hendricks, 46, was arrested at 1.20pm on Sunday (21 June) after officers stopped his car in Southwick Street, Southwick.
Hendricks, of Shelldale Road, Portslade, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7 July.
Another man was arrested at the same spot 24 hours earlier. Michael Millard, 53, was held at 1.30pm on Saturday (20 June) in Southwick Street after his van was spotted with a faulty light.
Millard, of The Crescent, Southwick, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7 July as well.
A total of 84 people have so far been charged with offences during the month-long drink and drug driving crackdown since the start of June.
