A van caught fire in Brighton yesterday lunchtime (Tuesday 23 June).
Fire crews were called to tackle the blazing vehicle in Elm Grove just after 12.40pm.
The fire service said: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a car on fire in Brighton.
“One fire engine from Preston Circus was mobilised to the scene on Elm Grove at 12.41pm.
“On arrival they found there to be a van that was well alight.
“Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
“Sussex Police also attended.
“The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
“Firefighters made the scene safe before leaving at 12.55pm.”
