Play has been abandoned at the T20 cricket match between Sussex and Surrey after a clash of heads left two players knocked out.
Ambulances were called to the Arundel ground where the players were motionless after the collision, with one on a drip.
The umpires took the rest of the players off the pitch while first aid treatment was administered, with a crowd of about 8,500 people looking on.
The players involved were two Surrey fielders Rory Burns and Moises Henriques who were dashing as they tried to catch a ball in the outfield.
The clash happened in the 19th over of the Sussex innings with the home side on 141 for 7.
Former Sussex captain Chris Adams said on BBC Radio: “We don’t know the condition of the players but it looks serious.”
Both players were conscious by the time they left the ground by ambulance to go to hospital.
