The Eco Tech Show has returned to Brighton, opening today (Thursday 11 June) for the first of two days.
The show – targeting trade and consumers – is back at the American Express Community Stadium where it was first held in 2012. For the past two years the show took place at the Brighton Centre.
The new leader of Brighton and Hove City Council, Councillor Warren Morgan, welcomed visitors to the show and spoke about the council’s efforts to become more sustainable.
One of the organisers, Michael Yeoman, who runs South Downs Solar, said that his company earned more than £100,000 just from leads generated at the show last year.
This year about 130 eco businesses were sharing their products and services, from electric bikes to grant-supported solar panels.
They aim to help people and firms to use technology and innovation to save money while being more sustainable.
