A crowd-funding campaign has been launched to help fund the Level Summer Festival on Saturday, 13 June.
The Level Communities Forum says it has already raised most of the necessary funds via a council grant and hiring stalls.
But in order to make sure the day goes with as much of a swing as possible, it is asking the community for more help.
The forum said: “The Level Summer Festival is a day of community celebration. Planned activities and entertainment for the day include live music, youth performance stage, creative workshops, community performances, flash mob yoga, theatre, puppetry, fairground rides, childrens entertainment, The Level Community Market, (Frisbee) disc sports & activities and loads more…
“We have already raised a significant amount of the funding needed to stage this festival via a small funding contribution from Brighton and Hove City Council and from the market stalls and food Concessions but we still have some way to go.
“We are looking to the people of Brighton to help make this wonderful event happen and have some fantastic rewards for those ready to support us.”
