Police are investigating an incident outside the H&M clothes shop in Western Road, Brighton, in which a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.
The incident occurred at about 3.30pm on Saturday, 16 May, when the victim and her companion, another girl aged 15, were walking along Western Road towards Churchill Square.
A man approached the Worthing girl from behind, grabbed her bottom and made an obscene remark.
PC Daniel Marshall, of the Worthing Response Investigation Team, said: “The victim has been left very shaken and upset by this incident and is worried it could have happened to others.”
The man is described as Asian, in his 30s, 5ft 7in- 5ft 8in and of chubby build. He was said to have spoken with an Indian or Pakistani accent.
