A pre-school in Portslade has been given £300 by Sussex Police out of money received from the sale of property confiscated from crooks.
The force said: “Hove police have donated £300 to the Ark Pre-School in Portslade to secure fencing in the back garden so the children can enjoy the garden safely and securely and also for parent and toddler groups to enjoy.”
Pre school manager Pam Bebb said: “We are very grateful for the donation as this will ensure the safety of the children while they enjoy the garden.”
Sussex Police said: “The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.”
The pre-school is based at City Coast Church, in East Portslade. Its last Ofsted report rated it as good.
