A Brighton photographer has published a set of pictures of some of the city’s “amazing people”.
Rebecca Claire, 28, who lives in the North Laine, took to the streets over two and a half days last month to compile portraits and brief interviews with some of the interesting people she encountered.
She met a wide range of people, from a retired GP turned photographer to a street drinker dancing in the road, and asked them the same four questions.
The 21 portraits are now on her blog, which can be read here.
Rebecca, who has been working as a freelance photographer for a year now, said: “I’ve always been really curious about people’s minds and what make them happy.
“I’ve lived in Brighton all my life, and now live in the North Laine, and I still love it – it’s so unique and amazing for a creative person.
“I thought a long time about the questions that I asked because I wanted to draw on people’s positive aspects of themselves. I specifically wanted to ask people about the good parts of their life which have made them grow.
“I really enjoyed it – it made me realise that people are more positive than I thought. People were quite quick to come up with something uplifting.”
