Fire crews were sent to deal with an electrical explosion at Brighton Marina yesterday lunchtime (Thursday 14 May).
The fire service said: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a suspected fire at Store on Brighton Marina yesterday.
“Two Fire Engines and from Preston Circus and one from Hove were sent to scene at 12.14pm on Thursday 14 May.
“The Store had been evacuated and there were no reports of any casualties.
“The cause of the incident was an explosion in an electrical sub-station.
“Crews remained at the scene until UK Power Networks arrived.
“The incident was then left under their control.”
