A Brighton businessman has been charged with eight counts of bribery and nine of corruption after an investigation into alleged fraud at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
Company director Wesley Mezzone, 34, of Ridge View, is one of two men charged in connection with the inquiry.
The other, Eastbourne electrician John Reynolds, 47, has been charged with 41 offences, eight for bribery, nine for corruption, 17 for false accounting, six for fraud by abuse of position and one for theft.
All the charges relate to offences committed between 2010 and 2013 while Reynolds worked as a network manager at East Sussex Fire and Rescue and Mezzone’s company, Mason IT, was a supplier.
Both have been bailed to appear at Hastings Magistrates court on June 10.
Hi,
Does anyone know when the court dates are? Can readers also understand Wesley is innocent until proven otherwise, unless of course you know otherwise!
