Police are trying to identify a man who is suspected of being responsible for stealing iPods from two students’ rooms at the University of Sussex.
During the afternoon of Sunday 22 March, the study/bedrooms in Lancaster block at the University of Sussex’s Falmer campus was entered and the iPods were taken from each one.
Police are publishing a CCTV image of a man seen nearby that afternoon, and who they suspect of being responsible. He is described as being of Asian appearance.
Detective Constable Scott Moore of the Brighton Priority Crime Team said; “If you recognise this man, please contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call us on 101, quoting serial 1150 of 22/3. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
“We are reminding students to make sure their rooms are secured at all times, and to use the Immobilise.com free website where you can register the details of all your property including all electrical items.”
