Former Whitehawk FC footballer Moses Swaibu is due to go on trial for match-fixing today (Monday 13 April).
Swaibu, 25, of Tooley Street, in Bermondsey, London, faces a charge of conspiring to commit bribery when he appears at Birmingham Crown Court .
He is no longer with the East Brighton club and it is not suggested that any Whitehawk matches were affected.
Swaibu is a former Crystal Palace youth academy player and turned out for Whitehawk four times before his arrest after an investigation by the National Crime Agency.
The trial, which is scheduled to start this afternoon, is being presided over by Judge Mary Stacey.
Former Bolton Wanderers striker Delroy Facey, 34, from Huddersfield, has also been charged with match-fixing and is expected to appear in the dock alongside Swaibu.
