Firefighters from Preston Circus were sent to put out a chimney fire in Brighton at the weekend.
A crew went to Bevendean Crescent, in Moulsecoomb, just before 7pm on Saturday (28 March).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “No one was injured and firefighters used a triple extension ladder, a chimney kit and one hose reel to tackle the fire.
“A home safety visit was carried out following the incident.
“As we head into spring, homeowners are reminded to maintain their chimney on a regular basis, even if they are not using them, to ensure that it is safe and ready to use when the cold weather suddenly bites.”
