1) Albion slip back to 20th in the Championship but have a better goal difference than Charlton Athletic in 12th place.
2 The Seagulls have now not scored an away league goal since Saturday 10 January. It will be exactly two months since they last hit the net on the road when they travel to Reading in 10 days’ time.
3) Former England striker Emile Heskey can still make his mark. The 37-year-old was lucky to escape with just a caution after a lunging tackle on Albion’s Lewis Dunk.
4) Albion had good chances to score. Craig Mackail-Smith and Sam Baldock forced great saves from Bolton keeper Ben Amos.
5) It’s almost two years since former Albion striker Ashley Barnes was sent off for deliberatly tripping up referee Nigel Miller at Bolton in March 2013 – a subject Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had been quick to refer to in the past week. On this occasion only Joao Teixeira and Gordon Greer were booked.
The Seagulls next take on league leaders Derby County at the Amex on Tuesday (3 March).
