Brighton and Hove Albion have signed Middlesbrough wide man Emmanuel Ledesma on loan for a month.
The 26-year-old Argentinian is Albion’s fifth loan signing and is available for the match against Birmingham City at the Amex on Saturday (21 February).
Manager Chris Hughton said: “It’s no secret that we were still looking to add a winger and strengthen in that area and I am delighted to have agreed to bring Emmanuel in on loan.
“He brings good Championship experience and is a creative player who is also capable of scoring goals.
“Our target was to add in four key areas and we have now achieved that.”
Ledesma has joined the Seagulls on an initial one-month loan. He said: “I was surprised when I heard Brighton were interested in bringing me here because it’s a big club and I didn’t expect it.
“It’s a big experience for me and a special moment and I’m really happy to be here. I’m excited to get back on the pitch and I plan to enjoy it.
“I’ve come here to help the team and enjoy it. I have to show my ability and show everyone I can play.”
Ledesma played for Queen’s Park Rangers in 2008-09 and has also played for the Italian Serie A side Genoa. He previously had a trial with Albion before moving to Walsall.
