Budget fitness chain The Gym Group is to open a branch at the former Co-Op in Brighton’s London Road.
The gym opens on April 1, and will be offering tours to prospective customers from mid-March.
Its owners have just submitted an application for two illuminated signs on the front of the building, on the entrance to the left hand unit on London Road itself.
Also due to open in April on London Road is a Makerspace lab above the new Presuming Eds cafe, which has opened in the former HSBC building.
The innovative company offers workshops in making robotics with 3D printing for “school trips to crackpot inventors to inspiring entrepreneurs”.
The labs will be stocked with 3D printers, laser cutting equipment and workbenches.
