The police helicopter helped in a search for a stolen car in Whitehawk this afternoon.
Police were called after a stolen Nissan Maxima was spotted being driven in Whitehawk Way, Brighton, at 12.40pm.
The vehicle failed to stop for police and collided with another car in Whitehawk Crescent before being abandoned in Whitehawk Hill Road. The occupant ran off.
Police officers, the dog unit and the police helicopter carried out a search of the area but no trace was found.
