Albion lead Ipswich Town by three goals to one at the Amex.
Sam Baldock put the Seagulls ahead on 18 minutes with a great turn and shot.
Ipswich equalised through Daryl Murphy three minutes later.
Then on 40 minutes Joao Teixeira beat at least three Ipswich defenders to score into the bottom corner.
Right on half time Teixeira seized on a pass from Baldock and put the Seagulls 3-1 ahead.
Albion fan and Sunday league referee Alex Savage, of Fiveways, told Brighton and Hove News, it was a great performance with great goals but Albion need one more to be sure.
