The man suspected of stabbing another man to death in Brighton on Christmas Day has appeared in court.
Oliver John Parsons, 30, of no fixed address, appeared before Brighton magistrates today (Saturday 27 December) charged with murder.
He is accused of killing 24-year-old Joe Lewis in a flat in Warwick Mount, Montague Street, Kemp Town, at about 1am on Christmas Day.
Parsons has been remanded in custody until Monday (29 December) when he will appear at Guildford Crown Court via video link from Lewes Prison.
Meanwhile, a post-mortem examination has revealed that Mr Lewis died from a stab wound to the heart.
Sussex Police said: “The results of toxicology tests are still awaited.”
And this man previously ‘let off’ twice in recent months to roam the streets armed with a knife… Why did magistrates not imprison him for previously being armed with dangerous weapon (switch blade) in a public place?
