Two more people have been charged with drink driving in Brighton as part of the annual Christmas crackdown by Sussex Police.
Kim Hemingway, 46, was arrested at 6.55pm on Wednesday (17 December) after a crash in Ladies Mile Road, Brighton.
Hemingway, of Carden Avenue, Brighton, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11 February.
Jason Hanmer, 27, was arrested at 1.55am on Wednesday (17 December) after officers saw him leave a casino and get into a car in Grand Junction Road, Brighton.
Hanmer, of Chandlers Field Drive, Haywards Heath, was charged with drink driving. He was also released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11 February.
Sussex Police said: “A total of 54 motorists have so far been charged with offences after they were arrested this month in Sussex’s drink and drug driving crackdown.
“For the first time, the December campaign is being run jointly by Sussex Police and Surrey Police alongside Sussex Safer Roads Partnership, Drive Smart in Surrey and the independent charity Crimestoppers.”
