A Brighton woman has been arrested after Sussex Police officers became concerned about her driving.
Xingrou Chen, 20, was arrested just after 9.30pm on Monday (15 December) in Temple Gardens, Brighton.
Chen, of Denmark Terrace, Brighton, was charged with driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
She was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday 6 February.
Sussex Police said that the force had sent officers out on dedicated patrols to catch drink and drug drivers during the annual Christmas crackdown.
The force said: “Teams will also respond to tip-offs from members of the public who see someone they know has been drinking getting into a car to drive.
“The names of those charged are being proactively published.
“People in Sussex can text officers on 65999 with the details of people they suspect of drink or drug driving or visit www.operationcrackdown.co.uk.
