Two men stole cash and a mobile phone from a man as he walked home along a busy Brighton street on Sunday evening (16 November).
The mugging happened at about 9pm in North Street, in the town centre, Sussex Police said, as they issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
The robbers stole £80 and an iPhone 5s from the 35-year-old victim, who was pulling a small suitcase along when he was approached.
The man, who is Chinese, was near Lloyds Bank, the police said, when the robbery happened.
The robbers were described as white, 18 to 20 years old and wearing hooded tops.
