Two people suffered serious head injuries in separate accidents in Hove.
A pedestrian – a 51-year-old man from Portslade – was knocked over by a black Honday Jazz in the first of the two accidents.
It happened in West Way in Hangleton, near the corner of Applesham Avenue, on Friday 7 November at about 5.30pm, Sussex Police said.
The man was taken to Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre, in Haywards Heath, with a serious head injury.
There was no indication of whether either the driver or pedestrian was to blame for the accident.
The second accident happened at about 5pm on Monday (10 November).
Sussex Police said: “A 38-year-old local woman received a serious head injury when she fell from her cycle in Nevill Road, Hove, at the junction with Nevill Avenue.”
She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The force said: “No other vehicle is reported to have been involved.”
