Caroline Lucas is to appear on the BBC TV show Have I Got News For You on Friday (7 November) at 9pm.
The Green MP for Brighton Pavilion will join the regular team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton for the latest edition of the satirical news quiz show on BBC1.
The programme will include the comedienne Jo Brand as the guest host.
Besides Caroline Lucas, the other guest panellist will be Richard Osman, the creator and co-presenter of another TV quiz show, Pointless.
She follows in the footsteps of politicians such as Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone and Lembit Öpik.
Last week the former Green Party leader won the Pink News MP of the Year Award for her contribution to LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) issues.
