A pedestrian was left with serious head and injuries after he was hit by a white van in Ship Street, Brighton.
Police today launched an appeal for witnesses to the crash which happened on Friday at about 11.20pm.
A white Dodge box van, driven by a 42-year-old Brighton man, collided with a 24-year-old man from Uckfield. The pedestrian suffered serious head and leg injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and has since been transferred to Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre, Haywards Heath.
