Two drink drivers from Hove and Portslade have been banned from the road, Sussex Police said today (Monday 20 October).
Donald Kirk, 43, was arrested at 10.55pm on Friday 13 June after he was stopped during a drink drive check in his Audi A3 in Boundary Road, Hove.
Kirk, of Jesmond Road, Hove, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court.
He had 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £110 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
Deborah Clayson, 56, was arrested at 7.20am on Sunday 15 June after her car was stopped during a drink drive check in Brighton Road, Shoreham.
Clayson, of Wickhurst Rise, Portslade, also admitted drink driving when she appeared before Chichester magistrates. She had 41 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
She was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £160 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
