Campaign group Our Brighton Hippodrome has called a public meeting for supporters at 11am next Saturday (25 October).
The options will be set out at the meeting which is being held in the Greene Room, upstairs at the Cricketers pub in Black Lion Street, Brighton.
Jo Jameson, who is to chair the meeting, said: “Next Saturday’s aim is to convey as much information as possible to as many people as possible.”
She said that the meeting should clarify the situation on what has happened so far including the vast amount of work carried out by Our Brighton Hippodrome and David Fisher in particular.
And she hoped that it would dispel a lot of myths too and provide an update on the position of Brighton and Hove City Council and the government.
She also hoped that it would bring the community together to work towards the ultimate goal of buying the Hippodrome, car park and Hippodrome House.
The current owner Kuig Property Investments has planning permission to convert the derelict listed building into an eight-screen cinema and restaurant complex.
What a load of old rubbish! Shades of the West Pier. They would need to find the money to buy the site from the present owners, then cash for for a new design and planning application and then around £20M for refurbishment…. Was that a pig I saw flying by?
Let the current scheme commence please and stop holding our town back!
