A woman is hoping someone can find her wedding rings after her husband accidentally left them in the Churchill Square car park on his way to the hospital where she had just given birth to their twins.
Ben Cordingly had just gone on a shopping trip with their toddler Finn to buy a present for the new twins Jacob and Lucas and picked up the rings, which he had had cleaned as a surprise, at the same time.
But disaster struck when they went missing somewhere en route from the shopping centre to the car.
Lucy Cordingly, from Shoreham, said: “My lovely husband got my wedding rings cleaned and was bringing them into hospital yesterday as a surprise after I had our twins early.
“Toddler and lack of sleep meant he left them in Churchill Square car park in the morning.
“They were in a box and black bag from Exclusive Jewellery, and this was all in a Mothercare bag containing Batman pyjamas and a blue toddler rain mac.
“Obviously we are both very upset. If you were shopping today and might have seen anything please let me know.”
She added: “The CCTV has Fin carrying bag at car park pay point, but no CCTV coverage after that.”
