A Portslade man who was caught with cocaine has appeared in court where he was given a £400 fine by magistrates.
Mark English, 41, of St Andrew’s Road, Portslade, pleaded guilty to having cocaine when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
He was caught with the class A drug in Portslade on Wednesday 13 November last year and arrested by Sussex Police.
In addition to the fine, English was ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £40 victim surcharge.
The bench ordered that the cocaine should be forfeited under the Misuse of Drugs Act and destroyed.
