A 26-year-old man from Brighton is to go on trial charged with rape, gross indecency and a number of other sexual offences.
Sean Roach, 26, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the same girl, who was under 14 at the time, and tried to rape her on another occasion.
The offences were alleged to have taken place at the same house in Brighton from 1999 to 2002 when Roach was between the ages of 11 and 14 years old.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court he was sent for trial at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday 2 October.
Roach, who is currently living at an address in Guildford, was given bail in the meantime on condition that he made no attempt to contact his alleged victim.
