A man has been charged with attempted murder after his neighbour was repeatedly stabbed at flat in Sackville Road, Hove.
Serena Keith Williams, 47, unemployed of Sackville Road, will appear at Brighton Magistrates Court today.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of the 34-year-old woman on Monday evening.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a flat in Sackville Road, Hove around 7.20pm on Monday, September 8 where a woman had been stabbed.
“The victim, a 34-year-old woman, received serious injuries from multiple stab wounds. Her neighbour, a 47-year-old man, has been arrested for attempted murder and remains in custody at this stage.”
On Tuesday morning, Sergeant Ned Edwards praised his officers for how they dealt with the situation.
