A Hove schoolboy has badly hurt his ankle after being hit by a motorbike in Old Shoreham Road in Southwick.
Police today launched an appeal for witnesses to the crash which happened on Wednesday (3 September).
It happened just before 8pm near the corner of Upper Kingston Lane.
The boy, 15, from Hove, suffered serious ankle injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and detained for treatment.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from riding a Yamaha 125, suffered bruising. He was taken to Worthing Hospital but was not kept in.
Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended but both casualties were eventually taken to hospital by road by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
