Brighton and Hove Albion have completed the signing of Spanish striker Adrian Colunga from Getafe for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Albion, having passed his medical at the Amex last night, after watching yesterday’s 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers. And will train with his new teammates tomorrow.
Albion boss Sami Hyypia said: “Adrian is another very skilful, technical player, who is good on the ball, capable of scoring goals and will create chances for others.
“He has the experience of playing at the highest level in Spain, having worked his way up through the Spanish leagues, and he will add to our attacking options.”
He was born in Oviedo and began his career at Sporting Gijon, and also played for Soledad, Pajara Playas and Las Palmas among others in the Spanish lower leagues.
In 2008 he moved to La Liga when he joined Recreativo de Huelva, before joining Getafe in 2010. He’s also spent time on loan at Real Zaragoza and Sporting Gijon.
He’s played close to 150 La Liga games and has 56 career goals.
Albion fans may recall him catching the eye against the Seagulls in a pre-season friendly in Getafe last summer when he twice hit the woodwork in a 45-minute runout.
