Two men were attacked after a night out on Sunday morning in Brighton.
The two men and a woman left the Volks Tavern on Madeira Drive around 7am and one of the men, a 29-year-old from Hove, went up the steps onto Marine Parade where he was approached by a group of men.
They stole his wallet but the victim followed them to outside Terraces Bar and asked for the wallet back. They then tried to steal a ring from his hand.
At this point the victim’s friend, a 25-year-old man from Brighton, came to help him and was pushed over and hit on the head. He was knocked out and his head was badly cut.
Detective constable Leon Howe said: “The 25-year-old man needed stitches to the cut.
“The suspects are described as teenagers, around 14 or 15-years-old and black. One was believed to be wearing a hat and green trousers.
