Leeds United 0 Brighton & Hove Albion 2
Brighton and Hove Albion found their form at Elland Road this evening, with an emphatic 2-0 win over Leeds.
The Seagulls wore their new fluorescent orange and black kit.
A goal in the first five minutes from Liverpool loan signing Joao Teixeira and a second in the last five minutes from Kazenga LuaLua secured all three points for the Albion.
Danny Holla made his debut for Albion and was shown a yellow card – Albion’s only one of the evening. Leeds picked up five yellow cards.
Albion now prepare to play Bolton Wanderers at the Amex this Saturday (23 August).
What an incredible difference two players make. The entire team had a spring in its step and oozed confidence. Perhaps all is not lost. The fans and team must be delighted with the way we played last night, hopefully our campaign is now fully underway for the Premiership. Well done lads we are all very proud of you. Brilliant!
