A man was savagely attacked by two men who broke his nose and eye socket as he walked through Brighton in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police today launched an appeal for witnesses to the attack, which happened on Black Lion Street between 3am and 4am.
The 43-year-old man was walking home when he was approached by four men. Two of them then attacked him.
The victim suffered a broken nose and eye socket which required hospital treatment.
The first suspect is described as a white man with short dark hair. He was wearing a light coloured shirt and had a plaster cast on his lower arm.
The second suspect is described as a white man with a tribal tattoo on his neck.
