The trailer for Kevin Smith’s new film Tusk, inspired by Brighton poet Chris Parkinson’s spoof Gumtree ad, has just been released.
Chris’s original ad was a surreal piece of whimsy in which a lonely old sailor requested a lodger for his large house overlooking Queen’s Park – the only caveat being the successful applicant would be required to dress up as a walrus.
The ad went viral and caught the eye of cult Hollywood director Kevin Smith, who has turned it into something else entirely, a take on old British Hammer Horror films.
Find out more by viewing the trailer below – but beware, it is not for the fainthearted.
The film is out on September 19.
