Travellers who moved onto the grass next to the Lawn Memorial Park at Woodingdean and Black Rock yesterday have moved on.
Yesterday, travellers moved onto the grass next to the park, which adjoins the cemetery, causing outrage locally.
Another group set up at Black Rock. Both these encampments have now gone.
A council spokeswoman said: “The travellers left Lawn cemetery in Woodingdean last night and are currently on private farm land near 39 Acres, Ditchling where the Police are negotiating on the farmer’s behalf.”
