Leonardo Ulloa has left Brighton and Hove Albion and joined Premier League Leicester City for a record-breaking fee of £8 million .
Ulloa joined the Seagulls in January last year from Spanish side Almeria for about £2 million.
He scored on his debut at the Amex in the 3 -2 defeat against Arsenal in the FA Cup 4th round.
Ulloa went on to score 23 goals in 50 games for the Albion including the Amex’s first ever hat-trick and a brace in the 2013 St Patrick’s Day rout of Crystal Palace also at the Amex.
His last Albion goal was perhaps the most dramatic, a last-minute winner against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the last day of last season to send the Seagulls into the play-offs.
Very sad news for the Albion, but I feel sure every true Albion fan will wish him every success with his new club, he did us proud, and he will never be forgotten.
