A 52-year-old man from Brighton has admitted killing a homeless woman whose body was found in public toilets on the seafront last November.
Timothy Smythe, who previously lived in Glenwood Lodge in Grand Parade, Brighton, and Percival Terrace in Kemp Town, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Faye Isaac, 39, was found dead by a cleaner in the Colonnade toilets in Madeira Drive, Brighton, just before 10.50am on Friday 22 November last year.
Smythe, who is being held on remand in Lewes Prison, entered his guilty plea when he appeared at Lewes Crown Court last Friday (13 June).
He will be sentenced at a Newton hearing on Monday 6 October.
Newton hearings are held after a defendant is convicted when the prosecution and defence evidence differs.
The judge will weigh the evidence before deciding on the sentence.
