A woman from Peacehaven has been charged with drink driving in Hove after being arrested at noon on Friday (6 June).
Lucky Gibbs, 41, was arrested on Friday after officers were called to a report of a damaged car in Third Avenue, Hove.
Gibbs, of Dorothy Avenue, Peacehaven, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 24 July.
Sussex Police said: “The number of people ordered to appear in court for drink-related driving offences this month has doubled after 15 motorists were charged over the weekend.”
At least five have been from Brighton and Hove or were arrested in the area.
The force said that it was running a month-long operation called Operation Dragonfly throughout June to try to tackle drink and drug-related driving.
