A new pop-up shop is giving “civilians” the chance to own Liz Hurley’s old handbag – and a dozen more celebrity’s cast-offs.
Handbags for Hospices has been selling second hand handbags since launching in Brighton in March 2012 with a sale of 130 bags which raised £2,000 for The Martlets Hospice in Hove.
Since then, it has raised many more thousands of pounds – £15,000 in the last year alone – through fundraising events in venues along the south coast.
Now, it’s first pop-up shop is opening at the House of Hoye in Ship Street, with proceeds going directly to benefit UK hospices.
Among the celebrity bags which will be on offer are those donated by Liz Hurley, Davina McCall, Zoe Ball, Lottie Moss, Kim Wilde and Gemma Arterton.
You can also donate your own good quality unwanted bags there.
