A man was attacked and his dog was stolen in Brighton in what Sussex Police described as a serious assault.
Two men attacked the 30-year-old dog walker in the open area of Duke’s Mound on Brighton seafront. A woman was with the two assailants.
Red, the stolen Staffordshire bull terrier, is dark brown with a white chest and one white toe on one of his back feet. He wears a black leather studded collar.
The first man was described as mixed race, in his late thirties to early forties, 5ft 9in tall, of medium build and with long black hair.
He was wearing a dark grey hooded top, a black leather coat, with blue jeans and a black woolly hat.
The second man was described as mixed race, about 30 years old, 5ft 9in tall, of medium build and with short black hair.
He was wearing a black jacket with blue jeans.
The woman was described as mixed race, of medium build and with black shoulder-length hair tied into a ponytail.
She was wearing a black coat and blue jeans.
The attack happened late in the afternoon of Thursday 27 March.
