The storms are back with Brighton and Hove forecast to be battered by more wind and rain tonight (Sunday 2 March).
About half an inch or almost 12.5mm of rain is expected to fall in a matter of hours later this evening.
And wind speeds are likely to average about 25 knots at the height of the storm with gusts of alost 40 knots.
There have been concerns about groundwater levels in Patcham and Portslade in recent weeks. Formal flood warnings were lifted about a week ago with unneeded sandbags being collected.
The storm tonight is due to be followed by a spring tide tomorrow (Monday 3 March).
ohh good some more rain .. did the sandbags get wet in Patcham the flooding along the old london road was caused by a blocked “sewer” drain in Audry close i think the Patcham spring coming from the garden there was just a small amount of water actually .. and one more thing , Thanks to the gas workmen that have done such a great job during the floods to locate the gas leak and fix it , leaking for a few days but no one thought to report it .. 08009991111 i think is the number
