Sussex Police are trying to trace the owner of a watch which they believe may have been stolen in an overnight burglary.
It was found when four boys were arrested in Lewes Road near the Vogue Gyratory at 1.20am this morning (Wednesday 26 February).
They were arrested on suspicion of burglary after a member of the public phoned to report people seen acting suspiciously.
The four boys, one aged 17, one aged 15, and two aged 14, are currently in custody for questioning.
The watch is a woman’s ‘Louis Jordan’ metallic watch with a link bracelet.
Detective Constable Richard Valder-Davis said; “We think this watch may have been stolen in a burglary somewhere in the East Brighton area, possibly in the Lewes Road corridor late on Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning [sic], but have not yet had any reports of such an incident.
“If you think it may be yours, please contact Sussex Police as soon as possible on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 0058 of 26/2.”
