Derby County 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 0
A goal from Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford sent the Albion to their first defeat since Boxing Day at Pride Park this afternoon (Saturday 18 January).
Bamford scored with just 15 minutes left to play, curling a free kick past Tomasz Kuszczak.
Albion’s best chances fell to Leo Ulloa and Matt Upson but both saw their efforts well saved by Rams keeper Lee Grant.
Albion now slip to seventh in the Championship, one place outside the play-off places.
They visit League 1 Port Vale in the FA Cup 4th Round next Saturday (25 January) and come face to face with former Seagulls manager Micky Adams for the first time since his departure from the club in 2009.
